Blizzard Of The Night

Essence Of Life:
W eek in frames brought to you by Ashtonesia, it is one of the runs that I will never forget being here, one of the most fun times of my life. Thanks to the little I have, and I am grateful for, I have lived in this city and never saw it the way I do as of the last five years. Now I face the events of time and of a fast-changing life in front of me. Sometimes I am scared to look through my viewfinder as I forget where I am standing, it is in the actual place of what is going on in front of my camera. This week as bin a huge ride walking and going through the times that passes us by.

I can now look back into the past and see what I have come close to, these are some of the images that voiced to me their existence of showing itself not only to me but also to the world. Some have died this week in the blizzard, I haven’t gotten the images of those, but they are out there along with many more, to many times on occasion people take images that portray a facade, I know that we all want to feel happy and things to be the way the masters have us bleed into a false reality. But life itself is not so, it is real, and things do change, sometimes faster than you can say a word or two, I am not here to judge anyone only to share my love for life and make people aware, every day is a gift it’s not a chance or anything that you should take for granted at all.
Shine On.

07
It was a very long wait, until some assistance arrived, and it took several hours to fix the problem, from what I saw later that evening things are setup in a way that the problem can be detected and fixed they do have the system for these kind of accidents, I witnessed firsthand on the blue print of the streets that let me know there is allot of thing people really will never know if they do not work for a company as huge as these. Some put on the skis and took it across the parks, this one looks to me like a workout more than having fun in this blizzard. (#)

A man was having some fun with his kid, and he also join in the sled rides, a beautiful way to share the fun with the family. (#)

On the streets there has to be a code of conduct of keeping the sidewalks clean, however this only apply is areas in the city where residents are paying high rents, more like the big shots that give tips and so forth to these guys which some are door men and building porters. Unfortunately, this is not so in most of New York where everyday people live, even days after the snow many people pavements are still covered in ice that is slick to the touch that will make you fall. These are the scrapers that I have in one of my other posts, seeing it in action is one thing, they use it to push the snow to the sides of the streets, this can cover your cars in deep snow. (#)

Looking at the top and sides of the cross on the church, you can tell just how high the snow has reached and it is still early in the evening when it has began. (#)

People on their way home, some heading for a hot drink, but most are trying to get out, since there was a shut down in the works of all transportation from the MTA. (#)

On my way back out to the blizard a young lady is waiting on the train, and you can tel that she in freezing cold, the system was 3hrs away from a shut down, even if it does, I would take it on foot to my destination. (#)

Looking through some of the branches into Central Park light still shine where I could see footprints in the snow, and I did hear voices far in the distance. There were fines giving out since the mayor issued police to give to anyone caught on the streets after 11.pm and in the parks, but I do understand why since about 2 weeks before there had to be a rescue around the very same area. The front gates of Central Park on 5th ave all locked up, it looks more like gates to home of some kind. (#)

22
A sign of park closed, many times people are killed or hurt from falling branches but it still goes on noticed, this is a major reason why people should not be out in the parks in these conditions, not only will it be hard for the emergency personnel to get to you, it will make it more difficult for you to live under these conditions of freezing temperatures. Some cool guys I met the morning after, this morning the service was restored faster than you would think, one thing I can say about New York is that it recovers very quickly, however the guy in shorts really wanted to show that no matter what New Yorkers dress how they like no matter the time of year or what happens. 28
At this time in the morning people were still looking to head to work no matter what, and many of them walked like I did, there were not many cars on the road. (#)

The MTA was not running at this time, and this guy would let you know that if you were to head down there, there was a cleark in the boot to the far right that I didn’t capture. (#)

I have no idea if the dog was with these guys or not, the winds were wild and the cold lights and fog on my lens was giving me images like this, it was kind of cool, but these are as is no editing involve. (#)

You can get a sence of just how much snow was on the ground from the seats, the sidewalks were still messy. (#)

35
As I headed north, I notice a woman and a child in a car sleeping, the car hasn’t been moved at all, it looks like they were in there for the night, they had on their jackets but that is all I can say about it, from the looks at the wheels of the vehicle. (#)

A hoody hangs in front of a building way above covered in snow; a piece of clothing that is needed to keep you warm in these conditions no telling why anyone would leave it hanging around like this. (#)

At the end I headed home from a heck of a walk passing through grand army plaza on my way home, I haven’t been here in a long time, I really like how the sheet of snow and the background just melts away. (#)
