Super Bowl 48.
The Super Bowl 48, being held in MetLife Stadium in N.J this 2014 has NYC on steam this winter season with a big event going on for blocks from 34st to 47st Super Bowl Blvd. in Times Square and it was open today Wednesday, Jan 29, 2014, as I walk on down to the events.
This day was no warmer than previous weeks as temps were in 22°F however looking for subjects to shoot was a great one with keeping warm. I must admit I really didn’t notice how cold it was until I saw the real degrees on the big screen, the people were very entertained and that took the mind of all the cold talk.
My time was a in between the sun hours both below and to the top and everything was going very fast as the light began to fall. A few days before when they were putting things together it looked nothing like it was today. Things are in swing now and all the boots are full will crowds getting their pictures and passes activated.
As I moved around things began to fall into place with many people from in and out of state came to see what’s going on, you can tell by the fans and their colors there were many different people walking all over the place.
Many media outlets and people came to get input or speak on Super Bowl event in New York. There are lots of activities and prizes that you can win I was told. There is a card that you have to get at one of the boots and you can also activate it same time to take advantage of what’s going on.
The toboggan run, the ride with the people coming down on what looks like some sort of sheet or blanket type sled was pretty cool, and the people look so cool coming down.
As for security there were bomb sniffing dogs and allot of police everywhere in the area they weren’t asking for ids or anything but then again, the real stuff hasn’t happened yet, so we will see what goes. Will I be there for the show or after it all goes down, that could happen but it’s too early to tell and will see about that.
